Message from Our CEO

Our world is changing, and more often than not, changing for the better.  Today, many of us need to work differently.  Technology can help us address our needs for flexible schedules, alternative compensation structures and empowering professionals to better serve clients. 

Our recruiting programs are focused on finding experienced, capable accountants and bookkeepers who welcome the opportunity to match an innovative profit-sharing compensation arrangement with flexible, empowering work structures.  For many years, parents of growing children have sought flexible work schedules.  Many are now engaged in dual careers, are caring for a parent or are semi-retired, yet possess the skills and have the continuing desire to help businesses grow and prosper.

A typical "virtual accountant" may not be all that typical - a mom with three children, hectic schedule and great accounting skills.  She is up at 6:00 am, kids to school, off to organize a service structure for a new client (a small technology company), home at 11:00 to securely access the accounting databases of three small business clients and one nonprofit organization.  She performs month end closings, reconciles accounts and assists the nonprofit organization with grant reimbursements submissions (except for the trip to the new client, all from home).   Now she picks up the kids at 3:00, soccer, tutoring, gets dinner and is busy finishing the month end closing for a local landscape contractor between 9:00 pm and 10:30.

May, 2006 – VirtualAccountants.com expands systems capability for database and application hosting services.

VirtualAccountants.com has expanded its hardware and software capabilities for hosting client accounting applications and data files on an ASP basis.  The enhancements are focused on improved capacity and connectivity.  VirtualAccountants.com’s hosted solutions allow both clients and their assigned virtual accountant to access client accounting and data files securely, on a 24/7 basis.

April, 2006 – VirtualAccountants.com initiates expanded marketing programs with the appointment of Debra Rodriguez as VirtualAccountants.com Relationship Marketing Executive.

VirtualAccountants.com announced the appointment off Debra Rodriguez as a Relationship Marketing Executive.  The Company intents to expand its marketing efforts to promote relationships with various financial and business service professionals that view VirtualAccountants.com as an affordable, personalized accounting/bookkeeping solution for their clients.

March, 2006 – VirtualAccountants.com creates new professional virtual marketing positions.

VirtualAccountants.com has expanded the scope of its professional virtual associate base to include professional virtual marketing positions.  Recruiting is under way for professionals in specific geographic locations within the U.S.  The professional virtual marketing positions provide opportunities for individuals with backgrounds and capabilities in relationship and business development to work within a flex schedule environment using VirtualAccountants.com marketing programs.

February, 2006 – VirtualAccountants.com expands its recruiting efforts for virtual accountants.

VirtualAccountants.com has expanded the scope of its professional virtual accountants.   Recruiting efforts are in process for accounting and bookkeeping professionals in specific geographic locations within the U.S.  Virtual accountant professional positions are filled with individuals that have significant small business/organization experience in bookkeeping and accounting.  Opportunities include full time, part time positions and with individuals operating existing bookkeeping and accounting businesses who might seek to join the VirtualAccountants.com service structure and network.  These professionals have the opportunity to set and monitor their own schedule and can focus their efforts in specific sectors and industries.

January, 2006 – OnePoint announces its plan to re-structures its hosted accounting solutions under VirtualAccountants.com.

OnePoint Business Solutions announced that it will restructure its existing hosted accounting and controllership resource accounting solutions under a virtual accountants concept.  Under the new marketing identity,  the company intends to direct its efforts to the small business and organization accounting and bookkeeping markets with a more extensive focus on hosting accounting application and data file solutions coupled with full time and flex schedule permanent accounting professional positions.

December, 2005 – OnePoint expands technology staff.
